Special Evening Art Club Session, sponsored by Central Coop

Picture
On Thursday 8th May our regular evening art club session will be devoted to exploring themes of loss, grief and change as part of Dying Matters Week. This session is being kindly sponsored by Central Coop

The session is free, but spaces are limited so booking is essential. Please book your place via Eventbrite here

We are also grateful to Brumyodo for promoting this session as part of their A Matter of Life & Death Festival which takes place between 5th & 17th May. For more information and other events taking place during the festival visit Brumyodo.

We will be responding to 'Bald Statements' - a series of hand-sized sculptures by Jean Parker. Bronze resin casts of the sculptures will be available to view in the library, on loan from Westhill Foundation.

Art Club for Adults at Stirchley Library

Stirchley Art Club! Find out more here...

Stirchley Art Club is a free, accessible, drop-in art club for adults of all abilities. All art materials are provided for you and instruction will be given so that you can learn a range of techniques.

Stirchley Art Club free sessions take place on Mondays 11am-1pm and Wednesdays 10am-1pm and 2-5pm.
We also have a pay-as-you-feel evening art club on Thursdays 6-8pm.

Funded by Selly Oak NNS (Mondays), and Birmingham City Council Prevention & Communities (Wednesdays), Stirchley Art Club is a friendly, supportive and welcoming place for creativity, learning and artful play.

We often plan sessions around specific activities such as printmaking, bookmaking or painting, but we can also support you if you would prefer to do something else. We have a range of books, images and resources for help and inspiration, but you can also bring your own ideas if you prefer.

Art Club sessions are run by either Sarah or Nicki, with help from our workshop assistants, Florence or Cheryl.

All sessions take place at Stirchley Library, 8 Bournville Lane, Stirchley, Birmingham B30 2JT. As the library is shut on Mondays and Thursday evenings, doors are open for art clubbers until 15 minutes after the start time.  Tea, coffee (and biscuits if you're lucky) are also provided.
