Stirchley Art Club at Stirchley Library

All sessions take place at Stirchley Library, 8 Bournville Ln, Stirchley, Birmingham B30 2JT. As the library is shut on Mondays and Thursdays, the doors are open for art clubbers until about 15 minutes after we start.  Tea, coffee (and biscuits if you're lucky) are also provided.

Special Evening Art Club Session, sponsored by Central Coop

Picture
On Thursday 8th May our regular evening art club session will be devoted to exploring themes of loss, grief and change as part of Dying Matters Week. This session is being kindly sponsored by Central Coop

The session is free, but spaces are limited so booking is essential. Please book your place via Eventbrite here

We are also grateful to Brumyodo for promoting this session as part of their A Matter of Life & Death Festival which takes place between 5th & 17th May. For more information and other events taking place during the festival visit Brumyodo.

We will be responding to 'Bald Statements' - a series of hand-sized sculptures by Jean Parker. Bronze resin casts of the sculptures will be available to view in the library, on loan from Westhill Foundation.

Stirchley Art Club Daytime

Stirchley Art Club is a free drop-in art club for adults of all abilities and takes place in Stirchley Library on Mondays 11am-1pm, and Wednesdays 10am-1pm and 2-5pm.

Stirchley Art Club is a friendly, supportive and welcoming place for creativity, learning and artful play.  We often plan sessions around specific activities such as printmaking, bookmaking or painting, but we can also support you if you would prefer to do something else. We have a range of books, images and resources for help and inspiration, but you can also bring your own ideas if you prefer! Art Club sessions are run by either Sarah or Nicki, with help from our workshop assistant, Florence.
