About Stirchley Art Room

Stirchley Art Room is not a place (at least not yet!), but an idea.
We want to provide all members of our local community with positive and enjoyable experiences with making art, through drop-in workshops, taught courses and other events.
Our long term aim is to establish an inclusive community art room for Stirchley and the surrounding areas, with spaces and equipment for drop-in use, and an education program to support personal and collective creative development, health and well-being. We envisage a vibrant and welcoming creative hub that connects artists and community together.
We are a not for profit Social Enterprise, constituted as a Community Interest Company (CIC) in April 2019.  Since then we have initiated and participated in a range of community arts projects, using funding awarded from organisations including Arts Council England, National Lottery Communities Fund, and the Postcode Community Trust. For more information, please see pages detailing our Current and Past Projects.
"Great idea for a wonderful community space, beneficial for all the people who live nearby and further afield!"
Ollie
"Brilliant idea, would love to learn some new skills and meet new people. Very therapeutic!"
Sarah
"Fantastic idea. Crafts & mental health go hand-in-hand, so this will help people in need in the community in a non-intrusive way."
Steve
